Storm Technology acquires Ciall

Dublin, Ireland, 28th of November 2017 – Leading Microsoft digital enterprise consultancy, Storm Technology has acquired Ciall an Irish based business technology company that specialises in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and corporate performance management (CPM) solutions.

The acquisition strengthens the breadth of Storm’s portfolio of digital enterprise solutions enabling the company to address the needs of corporate-wide stakeholders – from the heads of finance, operations, sales, service, marketing through to IT.

The addition of enterprise resource planning and corporate performance management talent to Storm’s existing expertise in the areas of the digital workplace, digital customer engagement, data analytics and digital transformation now uniquely positions the company to help clients optimise investments in digital technologies to grow revenue, increase productivity and save money.

Karl Flannery, CEO of Storm, commented, “We believe this acquisition is a great move for both companies, our clients and our people. Our clients will benefit from the additional expertise we can now offer. Our people will benefit from incremental opportunities to develop their skills and talents across an extensive portfolio of solutions. We are thrilled to be adding the expertise and competencies of Ciall and its team to our business. Together we can accelerate our growth and deepen the value we bring to clients and employees”.

Moving forward Ciall will trade as Storm Technology and operations will be integrated at Storm’s head office in Dublin.

“I am very much looking forward to this new stage of our growth and working with the team at Storm. There are many synergies between our two companies and we have a strong existing working relationship. The acquisition formalises this and enables us to bring our complementary skills and capabilities to the market,” remarks Michèle O’Gorman, Director, Ciall.

Michael Horgan, Director, Ciall said, “I am excited about this latest development in Ciall’s evolution. Becoming part of Storm will give us greater scale and will broaden and deepen our offerings to the market. It will also enable us to build on the strong growth we have experienced over the past number of years.”

The acquisition brings a 25% increase to Storm’s revenue, expands its client base to over 140 and builds out its team of expert consultants, business analysts, management and service delivery personnel to over 100. It strengthens Storm’s portfolio of offerings with the addition of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) and BI360 (CPM) to Storm’s existing expertise in Office 365, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Business Intelligence and Azure.
